I have been into NYC twice in the past two days. On friday, it was with my bro. We visited Book Off, ran into [livejournal.com profile] rinzei, had bagels with locks for lunch, and went to the Pacfic Arts of Asia show, which was very gorgeous, but made me feel very poor. It was fun to wander around and chat and stare, and watch how the arts/antique world does business. And if it had been just a little bit cheaper, I'd have bought a fantastic woodblock print *sigh*

Yesterday, I went back to NYC with [livejournal.com profile] cedarlibrarian where we wandered from bookstore to bookstore, with a brief stop at Macy's (lots of flowers and muppets *g*) and Lush. Boof Off once again paid off since they had put out all their good artbooks since the day before, so now I have a saiyuki, one piece and inuyasha art book. My favourite stop of the day was definately the Strand which I had never been too (which rather surprises me). So many books on so many things, though the fact that they didn't have an archaeology section was rather disappointing, or the Pyrotechnia (which I've been looking for for ages). I ended up with a nice book on cannabalism so all is well. I've also finally found the Forbidden Planet here in NYC, though it really didn't have too much more to interest me than the ones elsewhere I've been too. We were very wet by the end of the day, due to the rain outside (and in too! the subway was leaking!), but had many shiny things to look at a play with.
