:)

The Four Feathers was horrible with a horribleness that not even period costumes could make up for. Cream puffs and melon bread for desert were good though.

And now, the real reason for me making this post. Look at my pretty new icon made from the Sandman manga style comics. Hehe.

Now back to programming...

Oh yes. For the beginning at least, the plot was okay, even if the characterization stunk...then the plot went downhill and the only thing left was to make snarky comments and wonder when the bloody thing would end. It was one of those cases of someone trying to adapt every moment from a novel, and getting it horribly wrong...not to mention when you have lots of men in the same uniform, it helps to have them look differen so at least someone can tell them apart.

I feel better now. I had a press-preview pass to see the movie and my plans fell through at the last minute.

Still, you'd think someone besides A&E could make a decent historic movie.

The BBC manages some occasionally...and Gladiator wasn't that bad;) I'd have felt sorry for you seeing the movie in the theatre where you couldn't ignore it and read a book like I did near the end.

I love BBC movies. I have yet to see one that wasn't faithful to the original book. Yes, Gladiator was good. Forgot that one.
