Round the West - Day 21
Nothing much to report for today. We drove through the Sierras and experienced our first rain of the trip (the last rain we had was in Pennsylvania). It was a pleasure to drive through rain and mist and no sunshine. I enjoyed the glimpse of Seattle we got as we drove through. It had really nice overpasses that are overhung with greenery. We crossed the Canadian border (after being interrogated by a very efficient and cool looking border guard (it was the shades), and fought our way through rush hour traffic to our B&B which is a lovely little place. We're down in a basement room on two twin beds, and its cozy and cute. We had Greek food for dinner. I introduced Dad to my favourite (stuffed vine leaves) and had him try the soulvaki (sp?) as well. They then sprung home made baclava on us (so good) and I suggested Dad try Greek coffee which I still remember fondly from living on Cyprus, despite my hatred of coffee. I spent a while chatting with the B&B lady about archaeology and now Dad and I will watch a movie about the Yellowstone fires. Watched the first episode of season 3 of Dexter yesterday. I'm curious to see how this season plays out cause so far, I think things are going a bit too good for Dexter for them to last.
Tomorrow we are going to Lynn Valley canyon - you may recognize the pictures we take since, much like most of Vancouver (which even now, seems familiar in a strange way), it was used to film a bunch of shows.
