Sandy Update 2 and life uni
My dad talked with his next door neighbor and found out that both food and gas are scarce on the ground in NJ (his town is one of the areas they're rationing, I think) plus they've been told they're not going to get power until the 7th so he's still chillin in the midwest. It really was good that he got out of there when he did. I've been trying to temp him up to to Wisconsin with promises of my pumpkin-eggnog pie (made last night with pumpkin spice eggnog. yum!), and fresh cranberry-strawberry yogurt smoothies:D
Was really stressed Friday after revising my grant app several times and simultaneously studying for my Korean midterm. But the midterm turned out to be easier than I expected even if I forgot how to say 'to smoke' in Korean. I'll never forget it now, I guess. Kinda just collapsed when I got home and watched an ep of Leverage with a friend before making the pie, eating dinner, then taking a long bath. Feeling better today and have devoted today to working on Korean - I have a skit to write for Tuesday, several journal entries which I've been falling behind on, workbook pages to do, and a vocab quiz to study for. Tomorrow, I will devote to South Asian archaeology, then it'll be back to doing more reading for my dissertation research proposal. Thus is the cycle of my life.

It is all kind of strange. Everyone down here is just scratching their heads a bit over the hurricane coverage and asking themselves, "Shouldn't that be us? I mean, that's always us. WTF."
