deralte: (I'm cute! (and hungry))

So, I introduced [livejournal.com profile] havenward to a Blackadder Christmas Carol (otherwise known as the show I rewatch every christmas that gives me such a warm, cynical feeling) yesterday as well. Today, we spent the morning afternoon being as silly as we were in the early morning, then I doomed her to addiction by introducing her to Sharpe. I feel so pround to have suceeded in my evil deed for the day, and we had a lot of fun playing in a Highlander/Sharpe universe we created (it's a bit of a habit of ours to cross, oh, everything over with highlander at least once, mostly because the basic premise of highlander works with nearly every fandom in existence and because we love Methos).

Went to dinner later. Had fun and good food. Then came home and discovered my Futurama dvds had arrived so Dad and the boy and I watched the first 4 eps, before the boy was drawn by the siren call of his game back to the comp and dad and I switched to the extras on the Robin Hood Prince of Thieves dvd. Colour me disappointed that all the interviews (especially the alan rickman one) were slightly out of focus, and the documentary was partially hilarious and partially interesting. Have no idea why Pierce Brosnan was hosting it either but have to say I've never seen him looking more handsome. History of weapony was only superficially historically accurate and they should have done slightly more research. I'd expect a recent dvd to know that the 'shoddy celtic sword workmanship' theory is largely discredited in this day and age.
