Funny quote of the day (from my Medieval lecturer)
"The length of his beard is a symbol of his masculine virtures." - Albus anyone?
Interesting fact: The word 'canon' comes from the Arabic Qanun al-Tibb, which was the name of a definitive book of medicine published in the early 11th century.
Saw the second episode of Wolf's Reign. Definately a recommend. I'd be writing fanfic for it right now, if I could remember the names of any of the characters...:)
Life's been a bit hectic this last day or so. My flatmate tried microwaving an egg. Once she took it out of the microwave it exploded in her face. Spent most of the night comforting her (the burns were bad enough that her skin was peeling off) and once she went off to the hospital I cleaned our kitchen. The egg was literally everywhere. I found little yellow piles of yolk in the corners, and just when I thought I was finished I looked up and realized that the egg really had gone everywhere and there were little bits of it hanging from the ceiling (the shell seems to have melted and splattered on the cieling and no amount of scrubbing will get it off so we're going to have to repaint). My flatmate's skin doesn't look so good, but she seems to be doing okay. And don't ask me how I got through two lectures and two tutorials on such a small amount of sleep.
Will go back to editing chapter 5 of Uric now...
