More Bujinkan

Very good Bujinkan tonight. Sensai wasn't there so J. led the class and he has a good sense of humour and likes to tease while he's teaching, making things fun if slightly embarassing:) My partner and I had fun, though he got the worst of the deal since a) he was a lot taller than me, necessitating more movement on his part to get around me and b) we did a lot of shoulder stuff, and I'm double jointed in my shoulder, meaning you have to get everything just right in order to make me go down. Poor guy looked a tad bit frustrated (but he was cute and had the most brilliant smile so all's well on my end:).
Some of my favourite conversations from the night:
J: You're mean.
Me: I'm not mean.
J: *points to my partner* Tell that to the fleshy pile of organs behind you.

T: Is that little girl beating you up? *jumps in front of my partner* I'll protect you!

My collection of bruises is now up to five, from the one I had when I woke up this morning, though granted, not all are from Bujinkan. Had blood taken at the doctor earlier and that left a healthy bruise and tripped spectacularly over my mum's sandals right before bujinkan (I'm that martial artist who would trip clumsily through half the fight but somehow manage to defeat the enemies anyway.) Someday I'll figure out why I'm always so happy after being beaten up and beating other people up in turn.

Checking my posting date for Sands of Time, I see that it took me 13 months to write the whole thing. 40 pages in a year. Not so good, but not so bad.
