So, one week of digging down, three weeks to go. Will be so glad when it's over. The work isn't harder than Cyprus, in fact it's easier in many ways, but the people running it as well as the boredom of the site itself is beginning to take it's toll. Not to mention I hate our digging schedule (which is italian, hence a siesta in the midday, which leaves very little time for anything.)

Is anyone reading these entries or are they being backdated so far as to be nonexistent?

Heat is nearly bearable now, though that's not saying much. It seems they're using my birthday as an excuse to throw a alcohol full party. Have decided I don't mind;)

Last night, J. and I decided to be antisocial and go off by ourselves. Walked around bourges which is gorgeous at night since they light up everything including the lovely cathedral which is somehow much more impressive at night. Had a lovely strawberry sorbet and cream crepe and traditional Breton cider. Not bad, though we're going to try the sweeter stuff tonight.

All of us were kicked out of our hostel tonight due to anal bastards late booking. He decided we would sleep on the site without asking J. and I's opinion on this and after telling us not to bring sleeping bags. So we told him no way and buggered off to get a cheap hotel for the night. (It's not that I couldn't sleep on the site if I had to, but there are bugs, ants, snails, adders, dust and no showers at the sight, not to mention it's hard to sleep in when you sleep under the stars and I need some sleep since they changed our start time and since the other bloody people in my room keep waking me up or not going to sleep early enough (like today, when I could have slept in until 9am but they kept talking and discussing cellulite - of all things - while packing which woke me up far from my goal of needed sleep.)) Am also looking forward to a shower without someone rushing me to finish.

As good news, bought some lovely French mangas to read. The first manga of Fruits Basket and a manga called Le Nouvel Angyo Onshi (Shin Angyo Onshi). I've never heard of it but the art style reminds me of cowboy bebop and the plot looks cool. I'm translating them both into english so my bro can read them as well. Will read them tonight in cheap hotel room and hope that this dig goes quickly.

Later everybody:)
