Now, I didn't ask for the Two Towers Special edition dvd for Christmas cause it wasn't as high on my list as other dvds etc that I wanted, but it's very sweet to discover that my dad bought it anyway on the assumption that I did:)

Woke up early and surprisingly refreshed despite lack of sleep for my Phil. and Meth. of Arch. seminar. It was very amusing since it started out on the debate of whether or not Archaeology is a science, moved on to debate the morality of digging up dead people, then on to the predestination vs. free will debate, which led to a mention of memes that had me very amused. All in all, a satisfying philosophical debate.

Oh, and finally got around to doing review responses on fictionalley for my Uric stories in case anyone cares. Will get around to Intersections some day.

[livejournal.com profile] havenward asked me to think up a few challenges for her to write before thanksgiving as simple writing practice. Being me, I came up with far too many ideas, and since she's choosing only one, I thought I'd throw them out here and see if anyone would like to claim them:) I'd like to see them if anyone does write them.

Challenges - Includes Highlander, POTC, Trigun, Kenshin, and Matrix. No HP. )
Alternatively, if you really would like to do this, but don't like any of the challenges above (due to not knowing the fandoms, you think they're stupid, etc.) leave me a comment asking for a challenge from any fandom but HP and if I know the fandom, you'll get a challenge or two:)

Back from judo. Am sore, bruised and utterly knackered but have no major injuries to speak of (knee hurt while drunkenly dancing on saturday has started hurting again but I was expecting that). We apparently did an extra hard session today which surprised me. I loved all the free fighting since I got to try against many of the more advanced fighters since there were few white belts there. That was fun and I learnt a lot and managed to throw each of them a couple of times, cept for one very tall brown belt (we must have looked quite comic while fighting) who kept using his height to his advantage.

Now to play the game of "can ariana keep her eyes open long enough to work on her essay, or alternatively procrastinate".
