Why in the world am I pulling an all nighter? I didn't need to do this. I had plenty of time to write and could have finished this essay on sunday, or at least monday. Could have gone to anime night, but no, I've been procrastinating. Do I like all nighters? *pauses to think* Come to think of it, I do. I seem to have come by the belief somewhere that nothing of worth is produced without a bit of suffering. Oh dear...

Essay is currently half written. Paragraph talking about artefact preservation is very babbly. Bloody hell.

Am writing the conclusion paragraph of my essay now. After that I have to go back and add in references and possibly a picture or two. It's 3:30am. I'll be at this another hour if I don't procrastinate, but let's not kid ourselves. I will be procrastinating...

I'm quite pleased how my new method of essay writing is turning out at least. Instead of working my way through my notecards and forcing references in which sometimes led to awkward prose, I'm writing out all my ideas, then going back and inserting the references. It seems to flow better and makes planning easier.

Have been getting inane reviews all evening. Sometimes I wonder why people read my stupider stories honestly... but then that begs the question of why I wrote the bloody things in the first place, now doesn't it?

Essay was finished around 6am this morning. Didn't feel tired at all but went to sleep anyway and slept like the dead (ie. I didn't move and probably smelled bad) until 9:45 (a time precisely calculated by me as the latest I could get up and still hand in the essay). I proofread the essay for the second time while eating breakfast and found myself too tired to pronounce archaeologist correctly, but essay looked okay and had a pretty picture. Printing posed another problem since the printers in the labs appear to have been set to print at least two copies of everything two sided (I suspect a conspiracy to waste our printer credits personally, but I'm paranoid).

Handed in essay, then attended lecture on underwater artefact specialists and preservation. Was awake and coherent for all of it, though mind did wander a bit and was eating mentos to stay awake. Walked home, ate lunch, then went back to sleep for a couple hours. This brought my grand total of sleep up to five hours today. Then went to Japanese which was... er, interesting to try on so little sleep, though me without sleep trying to speak french is definately the worst (I tried this once on a hotel manager in paris and while all the vocabulary was correct, the word order was so muddled even I wasn't sure what I was saying... surprisingly enough he understood me perfectly, told me I needed some sleep, and even had breakfast waiting for me when I had to leave early for the airport... go figure).

Am now attending to email, and intend on finishing my yuletide challenge fic before I collapse from sleep deprivation. Fic is almost finished at this point with first two thirds complete, a random chunk of it near the end, and the last few paragraphs written so it's really just a matter of filling in a few things. I need to rewatch the show to check my characterization though which I didn't have time to do while essay writing.

I was walking through the building where my Japanese classes were held, when I noticed the following sign.

"Procrastination Workshop"

Hehe:)
