Have mostly been working on my essay and reading LOTR fanfic, more specifically any Faramir or Boromir centric LOTR fanfic. Am still feeling disappointed that the fascinating AU in which Faramir was sent to Rivendell was so poorly characterized that I couldn't read it... But found some other good fics so all is well. Now must pay the price and go back to essay again.

For those of you interested in my ficrecs journal, I've updated the memories so that it includes all fics I've recced since I started the journal, sorted by fandom. It comes as no surprise to me that POTC leads the recs at 18 stories, with Saiyuki not too far behind at 10 stories. Kenshin, Discworld and LOTR all have a respectable showing and I've recced from 16 different fandoms at some point or another. Amazing really.

Slept in today, which was inevitable considering I wen to sleep around 4am. Actually, considering I woke up at 11am, I really didn't get that much sleep. Go figure. Went to exercise. Started playing with some weighted bars used for weight lifting or something when no one was looking. Suprised myself by still being able to remember how to look and act intimidating while using a bo. Whether or not I'd be any use in a fight with one is a whole other matter...

Had to hit the library then looking for more sources for my essay. I know what I'm going to write and I know what I need, but unfortunately, the sources have been plundered from the library at this point, so now I'm left searching for obscure articles and desperately trying to get my reading ticket to the National Library renewed. Can still write the essay either way, but I'd feel uneasy turning one in with less than ten sources to my credit. hmm, haven't looked online yet...

One of my flatmates treated us to a lovely dinner tonight with veg. lasagna, bruschetta with raspberry tart and chocolate truffles for desert. Very nice:) Cannot belive I will be home in six days. It feels weird.
