Packing has reached its final stage. I am now going through my dvds and cds to see what I will take home. All I have to do is pack those up, backup my computer, pack up my computer and get up in time in the morning. It would help if I could actually get some decent sleep but I'm not holding my breath. Reading for the plane is a book on marxism, Pratchett's Mort (being reread by moi) and my latest writing notebook (earlier writing notebook is still fully saturated with baygon and causes pretty pictures to appear before my eyes and queasy feelings to stir in my gut every time I go too close to it). I hope to finish the next chapter of Gentlemen of Fortune on the plane and maybe do some work on Uric, but it depends on whether or not there's any movies I want to watch on the plane.
My flatmate and I took a break this evening and watched The Wicker Man. Very cool film, even if protagonist was an idiot. I think it would have been a bit more effective if the two of us weren't a) highly knowledgable on the subject of folklore and ritual (her being an anthropology student and me an archaeology one) and b) if we didn't know the ending. Nevertheless, it was neat.
