It was 60 degrees today. This wouldn't be unusual if it hadn't been in the thirties a couple of days ago. Guess I won't need to wear a coat this christmas. Helped mum light the menorah for the first time in a long while. With all the wax drippings and matches lying about, our fireplace looks like an altar to a pagan god...

Cleaned the house today since it looked dirty. This surprised my mother who probably hasn't seen me clean anything since I went to uni (nevermind the fact that I share full clearning duties iwth my flatmates in Scotland). Then begged to go to the Y, where I exercised then took advantage of the hot tub and saunas. Then out to dinner at Chili's and back here.

I hadn't noticed I'd been niffled again (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] ashfae for pointing it out), but am amused reading the thread. Like this -
although I almost worry about the author at times (do random Uric-isms pop into her mind as well, I wonder?)
*giggles*

I guess I should mention to them that Ozma wrote the third chapter since many people seem to miss that...

Am amusing myself far too much by watching an old movie called The Conqueror. It's got John Wayne as Genghis Khan and is one of the most anachronistic things I've ever seen. *L* From John Wayne's completely out of place accent to the white skinned, brown haired 'Tartar' woman to the obvious background setting of canyon's in California. It's great. And so long. They spent over a half hour on one scene with all these dancers being presented to the conqueror. *L* I suspect the movie was very risque for its time too...

So, since my parents are divorced, dad has us on Christmas eve and we get to open his presents tonight, while mum's are opened tomorrow. If you really want to know what I got )

So, now Dad is attempting to cook lamb for our dinner, and searching for some games he bought my bro, hid in the house, and now can't find. I intend on making him watch the Sharpe dvd I bought him (since he adores war movies/stories even if he prefers later time periods). I'm ashamed to say I hope he likes it, so that he'll go and buy the rest of the series...;)

On that topic, I had fifty dollars from my grandparents and used it to buy the Hornblower dvd set. Have an inexplicable craving to watch it (having never seen the series before... well okay, I saw ten minutes once a long time ago), but that's impossible since they probably haven't arrived at my house yet.

I suppose this is the obligatory point where I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and a Happy Hanukah:) I suddenly want to reread the Christmas scene in Wild Hunt... Am pathetic.
