I am now back from a marathon session at the National library researching aging in human populations for my Zooarchaeology essay. Happily, they've modernized over the summer and have finally allowed you to request books online, meaning no more waiting for books to be retrieved. Of course, since I only have a temporary ticket which I obtained today (having timed it so it will expire at the end of term), I still had to wait and happily passed the time reading a biased account of the British navy during the Napoleonic wars.

Other than research, I'm mostly splitting my time between watching downloaded shows (Scrubs, The Daily Show, Lost, Battlestar Galactica (new), Gankutsuou, Bleach, Malcolm in the Middle) and enjoying the wonder that is British television (which, owing to being from a different culture than my own, is slightly more entertaining than American television... slightly).

I have this desperate urge to satifsy my need for watching costume drama (otherwise known as historical crack), but have no idea what to rent/watch/buy next, nor do I feel like rewatching any of the numerous things I already own (though in a week, I'll be ready to watch The Duchess and the Devil again since that only requires a month or so between rewatchings to recharge and see it again).
