I got my zooarch essay back today. It was a 62 which is about average, so no real worries. Am amazed she marked me as 'poor' on my referencing though *boggles* If she does that to me, I shudder to think what she did to the rest of the class (since on the essay before this one for a different class I was among the rare few who earned a 'good' in the referencing department). In other scary news, apparently the first set of presentations for arch. fieldwork were done while I was in Norway (oops...). The marks are already known and apparently they're being marked really harshly. Damn.

I went to Forbidden Planet today and read the new Fruit's Basket volume. It was quite cool, though I'm mostly excited that we're finally hitting the stretch of the manga that covers beyond the tv series. Shigure refering to Akito doing the "old black and blue"? Creepy... Also read the first Peacemaker Kurogane manga in Blackwells, which I have to say despite being rather confusing, was a lot more interesting than the start of the anime (which appears to cover the earlier manga first). I may just be blinded by Saitou showing up though.

Picked up some books for my courses and a kanji workbook, cause I know that the only way I'll learn these damn things is by practicing like mad. Also got a Queen cd for a pound. Am exceedingly happy with these purchases (even the course books), but feeling guilty for spending the money.

Have a serious craving for sushi atm. Even simple inari would satisfy me muchly. *whinges*

Anime tonight was fun even though I really wasn't seeing anything I haven't seen before. Guu is new, but I invariably end up talking over it, which actually works rather well since I don't have time to get bored with it. Stellvia I don't even bother watching anymore, though I was caught out snickering evilly (and a bit too loudly) at all the bad things happening to people in the next ep. Champloo and FMA I've seen many times, though I usually rewatch bits of each since they're cool. Honestly, I think I just go to anime to see my friends:)

I'm feeling kinda stupid that I thought for awhile that I was loosing weight this term, but gaining muscle since my clothing was getting looser, but the weight wasn't dropping. Then I had a 'duh' moment and started taking off my shoes to weight myself (as I had been doing before), thus showing I have lost at least three pounds from before Christmas. This is almost, but not quite as bad as my 'yay' mental block, since the 'yay' mental block lasted for several years... Still think I must be gaining some muscle though cause trousers are ridiculously loose for only losing three pounds.

I really would love to spend the rest of my evening studying Japanese, but I still have tons of notes to take for Arch. Fieldwork. I'm starting to panic about it and my dissertation and other things so I should really work on it so I stop panicing so much.

Note to self: Stop subvocalizing. You are not Shinji.

Hah! I'm not the only one who'se had the idea of doing Prince of Tennis Battle Royale! And the winner was oddly enough who I would have predicted. *goes off to cackle evilly*
