Banned myself from the internet for most of the day (and will in fact be banning myself again soon as I finish updating here and checking my email) in order to write my dissertation. I was able to wheedle out some older dissertations from the departmental secretary which gave me a more general idea of how to interpret our ridiculously broad guidelines and helped me solidify some of my ideas for what I want to write. Consequently, I just finished the introduction to the dissertation.
Rhind lectures this year are Men Who Turned Towards the Light: Cult and Creativity in the Romans' World by Greg Woolf. They're the weekend before a major exam of mine, but I hope to at least get to the friday and saturday lectures. Will most likely be the youngest person there again...
Checked up on my unofficial grade for my Arch. fieldwork presentation from last week and discovered I have a 2:1. Am completely happy with that, though stress from dissertation isn't allowing it to sink in.
