My first dream of the night was obviously the start of some epic adventure. It began, Naruto style, with Me, [livejournal.com profile] havenward and Coby (from One Piece) having to perform a mission to impress people so we could get some real jobs. I suspect Coby was there because a) we needed a guy, and b) all good adventures start with Coby *g*. Anyway, he spent most of the time very nervous, while Havenward and I joked our way through the entire mission (the only part of which I remember clearly was setting off a huge explosion in a large tunnel, then using the momentum from the blast to throw ourselves to the next part of our mission.) The dialogue went something like this -
H: So what should we do?
A: *shrugs* Blow it up.
C: What?!
H: I don't have enough nitro on me.
C: They'll fail us if we do that!
A: I've got some plastic. With our powers combined!
H: *groans*
C: Are you listening?!
A: They can't fail us if we complete the objective.
C: How about dying then?
A: Nonsense. I'm only allowed to die on Wendsdays, and its... Wendsday.
H: Not on Harkon IV.
A: Good point. (to Coby) We're all right. Well, I'm all right. You might be in trouble.
C: *panicks even more*

Unfortunately, I fell into a much deeper sleep again near the end of the mission and have no idea what happened next *pout*

Second dream of the night was much more prosaic, but it did remind me that if I'm lucky, I can get my dissertation back today *eep*

Many of you will be pleased to know (I know I am...) that I got a 2:1 (a high second):) Dissertations and fieldwork weren't back yet so I have to pick them up on Monday, but it's good to have that confirmed. Interestingly, no one seems to have gotten a first this year.

International office helped me to sort out the craziness that is getting a work permit. It's sort of straight forward, providing you're willing to spend money (and your employer is willing to spend money!). Will not worry about it until I find out if I have a job...

I'm eating very multiculturally today. I had Japanese rice crackers and madelines for lunch. I didn't mean to, but I had to pick up some rice vinegar and I was hit with a craving for madelines since I haven't had them since digging in Bourges two years ago (we used to snack on huge bags of them around midday..). I then made sushi rice for inari sushi, which I just set out in bento form for tomorrow's lunch and tonights dinner, and I also made rice and takenoko which is a rice dish with soy and sake flavouring, bamboo shoots and strips of fried bean curd (otherwise known as inari... hence why I'm making it). I was wondering how it would taste and it's not bad. Should feed me for a few days. And it suddenly occurs to me I'm being very vegetarian today...

I'm having far too much fun toying with Vader here, though in general, he's been quite accurate so far.

Incidently, who's free for anime and Dr. Who watching this weekend? *peers at friendslist*

Website has been updated. New icons for
Bleach (2), Dr. Who (22 - all doctors except 7th), FMA (4), Kenshin (1), One Piece (7), PoT (1), Saiyuki (5), Trigun (3), Misc (1), and Awards.

I really need to stop getting hooked on new fandoms. It seems like every time I update I have to go through and add in a new icon category (I give anything it's own category providing there are more than two icons and that there's even the slightest chance I will make more. This is why Pretear doesn't have a category despite having two icons for it, and why Dr. Who did have a category for ages with only one icon made...)

Went to exercise, and I have to say that I think it should be a requirement for young, lean looking men to practice Brazilian martial arts (cannot remember the name, but it looks like both dancing, and trying to gracefully break your neck in exotic ways) while wearing tight, white, cotton trousers and no shirts. Add to that well defined abs (and everything else) and a sheen of sweat, and mmmm....

While the above event did happen, this post is an entirely gratuitous excuse to use this particular mood icon;)
