Well, I have most everything done. It's kinda galling that both my bro and my dad sat around playing video games while I prepared everything, but whatever. I sincerely hope this holiday is relaxing and fun, and not the hellish experience I've had before. This will be my first major holiday where I've done no research on where we're visiting. In fact, my only goals are to get some writing done, read the Gormenghast trilogy, go to the beach and get some sleep. Will try not to suffer too badly from One Piece withdrawal while I'm gone...
Cannot suffer too much since I loaded some screencaps onto my mp3 player. Screencaps from anime look great on the Cowon 5XL's screen. And the more I find out about this thing, the more I adore it. It's not just that it can store my entire music collection (which I am currently loading on now). It can also play video, radio and display pics, store any books I have in text format (ie. a lot of them) plus about fifty million other things. Oh, and it has 35 hours of battery life. The only thing that gave me a bit of trouble was figuring out the controls, but they are growing on me.
I took a break today and went to see Kung Fu Hustle with my bro. It was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time. The very over the top-ness of the whole movie really made it worthwhile. Such a great parody. I suspect it's not a movie for everyone, judging by the fact that only me and my bro were laughing at times, but it well worth the break. Also accidently visited HMV on the way home and picked up Black Books Season 3, Dogma, Ghostbusters, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights for a mere pittance.
Won't be back until next Tuesday btw. Leave me a comment if there's anything you don't want me to miss, cause there's no way I'm keeping up with this friend's list *g*
