Today was one of those days I thank god for adrenaline. I've actually been in a lot of pain since Monday. Bujinkan is one of those arts where you never know what you'll be learning from one class to the next and where you always end up exercising muscles you either don't usually or that you didn't even know were there. As a result, even after years of training, I still find myself with aching muscles after many of our classes. (Compared to any other martial art like Karate where I almost never had aching muscles... just lots of bruises.) After all the punching, and holding up pads for other people to punch on Monday, really random muscles in my shoulders and around my biceps have been aching. It's always worse on the second day too, so last night I had a lot of trouble sleeping, even with painkillers.

I was too much of a masochist not to go today of course. Thankfully, the adrenaline really does kick in and keep much of the pain away. My only trouble was when I was being thrown, which I just went with as quickly as possible to stop the pain.

My partner today was very polite. He was always asking if he could do things, and apologizing for everything. Even weirder was how grateful he was when I gave him advice, or how happy he was when I was able to do the technique (even though he couldn't). It was weird after training with so many men with egos...

Jack didn't yell at me at all today, which is a good sign. An even better one was that he made me teach, which means you're really doing something right. It's interesting to note that even after all these years, being called on to teach can still send a shot of adrenaline straight through my body. What a rush (mostly cause I'm scared to death *L*).

It was ridiculously humid tonight despite how cool it was outside. The sweat was literally dripping off of everyone. My partner even changed his shirt (which was good since it was making a wet slapping sound every time I punched him... eww).

I watched the latest Bleach ep today. My reaction can be summed up as follows, "Bored. Bored. Fight. Bored. Oooo. Naked, wet Ichigo in hot tub. Urahara without a hat! Keep talking Ichigo, and don't get out of the bath. Damn. Scene ended. Bored. Bored."

I was pretty annoyed with my mum tonight. She found it astonishing that I cut up my potatoes and eat them, instead of mashing them like the rest of the family does. This wouldn't have been so bad except she watched me eat every single one, critiquing how much butter I was using. It was just downright rude.

In other news, I made some gorgeous icons yesterday, but most of them are entered in icon contests so I can't show them off yet. *pout*
