Bujinkan tonight was good. I guy I trained with was new and a marine. He was also really nice, which kinda surprised me since, well, marine's tend to get kinda hardwired into certain behaviours... Which is a polite way of saying they go all kinds of crazy sometimes. I spent most of the class teaching him, which meant Jack left me alone. The actual training could be summed up as, "101 ways to respond if someone's aggresively pushing you" only it was more like seven ways since class just isn't long enough.

This marine guy had the funniest habit of calling me 'kid' though. It was all I could do not to crack up every time he said it. "Let's go, kid." "I'm gonna take you down, kid." *giggles* All said in a low key Italian/NJ accent that only made it funnier. Ah, bless.

I got my new glasses today, or rather I got my old frames with new lenses today. It's so nice to not have that annoying little scratch in the corner of one lense that's been there for a year and half. Little things like that drive the anal person inside of me insane. The guy at the place was really funny. He took nearly ten minutes to adjust my glasses so they actually fit, and I had to thank him in surprise afterwards since not only had they never fit before, but I'd never realized they were supposed to. Pushing them up was just a well-developed habit.

I dreamt a YuYuHakushou/Naruto/Inuyasha crossover last night. I suspect this is because I stumbled across a YuYu/Naruto/Recca/Ranma crossover yesterday that could have been really interesting if only the author could write. My mind decided to oblige me and do one in my sleep only it switched around a few series. I can only remember parts of it, all from Yusuke's pov. Very odd.

I was given a sword the other day. This isn't unusual because everyone and their grandmother knows how much I like weapons, and I tend to get given them when other people find them and don't want them (though up until now, it's been only knives). I thought it looked familar, which wasn't a surprise since I read books on swords for fun. Pulled out one of my reference books and found it quite easily. It's this, which is really interesting since I was told it came from Europe in WWI. Of course, now I'm not sure what to do with the thing, but how cool is it to be handed a sword like that? *bg*
