Well, classes today were good despite the underlying horror of working again after such a long (and surprisingly unmarred by my travel luck) holiday. I had expected some souvenirs in the first class, what I didn't expect was for three middle aged women to draw me into a game of janken pon for the right to pick which of the souvenirs one of the women brought that we wanted *L* I won, and ended up with a container of sweet potato caramels, which is pretty good taste wise, but there's far too much of it for me to ever finish eating it. Was also given one of those ballons with water in them that kids fish out of water at festivals. I suspect these ladies have my mental age pinned down correctly *L*

My following classes, the sweet potato caramels came in handy as prizes in bingo games and such. I'm not sure how I managed it while sick, but the boy I taught a trial class to two weeks ago has come back and I now teach this very sweet, shy ten year old. I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with him assuming his parents back off a little. I tired out the grandparents in my afternoon class teaching them directions in English, then had fun chatting about video games and mahjong with my high school student (the other didn't show). And thus, is my day finished and I now have another two days off before I must return to the grind.
