Lucy-chan - Ze package arrived! I am currently making faces at my Ed pillow and enjoying the fantastic rioobos-vanilla tea (god, that stuff is good). Mmm, malteasers too:D Arigatou-gozaimashita!
So, am trying not to panic too much about climbing Mount Fuji tomrorow. The heart of the problem being that not only do my students think we're insane - I do too *L* Thing is, we're kinda right at the end of the safe climbing season so if we're lucky, the weather won't be too bad and we can make it to the top but if it's nasty, there's no way we'll make it and we'll have to turn back. The guide books are pretty split regarding climbing it at this time of year. *sigh* I think I'll be praying a lot during this one.
Anyway, we're leaving here at 8am tomorrow and driving up. Will get there in the evening and hopefully time our ascent so we reach the top at sunrise and don't have to spend time up there getting hypothermia. Then back down with a trip to nearby Hakone to take advantage of the onsen, and then we stop in a hostel for the evening. If we're awake, there are some caves and other things to see, but I kinda doubt we'll be up to it. We drive back on Monday and will get back in the evening, hopefully with enough time for me to plan my classes for the next day. Wish us luck!
