Food seems to be the theme

A week or so ago, Walgreens had a sale on peeps which I took advantage of. Not to eat, but I think it's worth 39 cents to kill peeps in the microwave.


I also made my first homemade pumpkin pie on friday. It turned out really yummy though if I make it again, I'm going to cut back the sugar a little.




My mother is down in Florida celebrating Passover with our numerous relatives, so of course, the first phone call I got was asking if I was doing anything for passover (and easter for that matter, but the only reason I knew Easter was near was because the library was closed for Good Friday).
Me: Uhm, I made matzo ball soup and potato latkes for dinner on Friday when ozmaz came over.
Mother: That's great. Was the chicken kosher?
Me: There's chicken in matzo ball soup?
Mother: In the soup.
Me: Oh, right. Uh, I'm not sure if it was kosher, but it was organic. Tasty, healthy organic. Does that count?
