For my own reference in Bujinkan, we just finished koto ryu (knocking down the tiger school), and will be starting shinden fudo ryu next week. Shinden fudo ryu either means natural fist school or divine transmission of immovability school (or more probably, both). It's actually one of my favourite styles because you start almost every technique from shizen, which is the void form, ie, how you stand naturally. This makes infinite sense to me since I suspect if I'm ever attacked, it will be while I'm in shizen rather than a particular kamae. I also just find it easier in general to start from that position. I'm also just happy that people are no longer attacking me with swords while I'm unarmed *L*
I've got six bruises in total on just my right upper arm at this point. Three are from Monday and three are from today since my training partner had a bamboo sword, the handle of which left bruises on top of my bicep whenever I disarmed him. I made up for this by smacking my opponent with the sword while disarming him whenever possible. This made Jack laugh.
Have to go back to kanji studying, so will internalize what I've learnt tonight silently rather than map it out here. Ja ne.
