For some reason, this weekend was a very slow one work wise. I got so much reading done by Sunday evening that I resorted to writing a few pages of Uric, then reading fanfic using my phone, just for a change of pace from the books I was reading at work. My parents brought my brother up to college on Sunday so I had the house to myself for two days - a prospect which I always find relaxing. Consequently, I spent Monday visiting the bookstore, then going to Rutgers club/greek fair. I'd love to say it's because I'm going to join some clubs, but considering my lack of free time this term, it was actually so I could get lots of free stuff. I got about twenty new pens and highlighters which solves my supply problem for the year. A free soda, a bag, a stapler, an led light key chain and one hennaed hand later, I had finally finished my rounds. By the time I walked back to my car (which was like a mile away due to crowding), I was feeling rather dehydrated and not up to going to Bujinkan, so I blew it off to stay home and watch True Blood and Toy Story 3.

Today, I had to work at the helpdesk for four hours, which was actually kind of fun. I think I'll enjoy the job once it's less busy. As it is, the moment you put the phone down, it would ring again. It makes you kinda paranoid. I must have enjoyed it though since I was crazy enough to sign up for an extra shift on Thursday evening. I work tomorrow as well, but will hopefully be able to squeeze in a meal in between my first class of the year (Korean 101) and my shift since I had no chance to eat today and my shift ended at 1:30pm!

Starving, I hit the supermarket and the Chinese supermarket for the fixings of a delicious meal of bruschetta with melted provolone on top of vine ripened tomatoes. Desert was a slice of cheese babka and lots of fresh fruit. I played Civ. 4 for a bit when I got home (but quit when Napoleon kept attacking me (dude, I like you historically. What gives?)), then watched Ace of Cakes, worked on my book, worked on my internship application (essay still sucks *sigh* am on third revision), chatted with friends, finally got around to watching the fifth ep of Being Human (I expect it'll be another year before I finish off the final ep and finish the first season), and disappointed myself trying to find decent, new Highlander fic. Dad arrived home around 9pm and we've been sharing stories (I got the better end of the deal). All in all, a lovely set of days which have left me feeling refreshed enough for my next to ridiculously busy set of days. Ja ne!
