I think it's something about being so far away from the fandom at this point, that I can look at a fandom wank and be nostalgic, especially one as low key as this one. It's the knowledge that none of what you're reading is really going to affect you. There's some really entertaining lines in it as well.
Though what I'd really love is a section of FA where you get all of an authors' fics listed on one page, instead of having to hop from house to house. Great minds... *g*
