Well, I went today to get my lenses replaced since they're sort of cracking and falling apart, even if the frames are still in good condition. I was pulling out of the parking lot when a woman trying to make a turn, turned right into me. I'm perfectly fine, but her car was a hell of a lot bigger and it basically smushed the left front corner of my car. Headlight smashed, body smushed so it was hard to open the door to get out, and coolant leaking. Most amusing in a "i can't believe this" sort of way was how half my rubber bumper got stuck on the towing hook of her front bumper. I had the right of way, as the police confirmed, so at least that's not a worry, but my poor car is dead. My dad, who works at a garage says that with the body work that'd need to be done, it'd be cheaper to get a new car. I'm rather sad about this actually since this was my first car and I've been driving it for at least five years, and for all the trouble it's caused me, it drives like a dream... or did. *sigh* I'm really thankful cause it could have been a lot worse, but geez...

Bujinkan last night was focused on kicking, which didn't please me much since I'm just not very good at it. Josh was there for once and he spent a lot of time ragging on us, which shows he cares, honest *g* When Jack showed up we moved on to techniques using kicks (we'd been kicking pads before) which was more fun, except my poor partner was rather new to all this and obviously rather frustrated. Jack likes to say he trains at his level, which means that sometimes, even people who've been training for years or decades have trouble keeping up, so it's not surprising to be frustrated when you're new. Hell, I was only barely keeping up, and most of my time was spent trying to talk this guy through doing the technique. My partner thought it was very important that I knew he had really flexible wrists. I didn't have the heart to tell him that the technique didn't rely on trapping the wrist. I probably should have though since it would have saved me the bruises on my wrist today...
