Re. the ending of the film - Lucy goes back to the wardrobe and ytries to sneak in and Digory is standing, watching, with a pipe and quietly tells her "You won't get back that way. I've already tried" and tells her there will probably be a way back some day, probably expected, but to keep her eyes open for it :)
