Bujinkan tonight started off boring, but was made fun by virtue of a good partner, and decent moves. My foot definately starts aching when I train after awhile (I guess because we use all parts of our foot to grip the floor, and because we were doing foot work...) so have decided to keep up with the inflamatories, at least in the evenings, until the end of the week. When Jack showed up, he started describing doing this one take down as a 'hug', which sent the guys I was training with snickering. All men are really just thirteen...
Anyway, didn't get yelled at, and in fact got a lecture on how amazing it is when everything starts to click. Luckily, no one can tell you're blushing when you're flushed from training... Jack was in a good mood. You can tell cause he teaches really nasty moves, hence we learnt yet another way to break someone's neck. (It kinda surprised me to realize I know three or four of those off the top of my head...)
Mitsuwa was a bit of a disappointment due to lack of taiyaki *pout* but had good kitsune ramen, and melon cream bread (in honour of Yakitate Japan). They're renovating so they were out of a lot of things, or I had to buy lesser alternatives. Only new Pocky flavour was cheesecake, though have discovered the creamy goodness of strawberry Koala no maachi. God those are good. My bro and his friend were looking for the Naruto Gamecube battlearena game (was amused to hear the saleswoman ask another one what a gamecube was in Japanese when my bro made his request) but had no luck.
When it came to figurines I found their last Anbu!Kakashi figurine which was ridiculously complicated to put together (about ten interlocking pieces) for something only a few inches tall. I like it, though I do wish it were a bit bigger. My bro picked up a cool Hughes figurine. While in the supermarket, I took a gamble and bought an inuyasha figurine box. I figured the Sesshoumaru one would be the heaviest so I checked them all and chose that one (figuring that even if I didn't get Sesshoumaru, I'd at least not get Kikyou or Miroku whom I already have, since they're rather light). So, for five dollars, I lucked out and got a gorgeous Sesshoumaru figurine (the detail they put into it is really crazy).
Now off to read and make lj icons, I think.
