I made spaghetti squash for the first time this evening. I haven't eaten it since I was a kid, but I enjoyed making it and covering it in garlic, butter, pepper, and parmesan cheese.
Of course, I now have a mild case of hives on my hands, and since the only unusual thing I ate this evening was the spaghetti squash, I appear to be allergic to it. (There are other possibilities, but since the only time I've ever gotten hives before is from ingesting something, I suspect it's the squash. Either that, or I've developed a new allergy to strawberries, which would be a tragedy of epic proportions.)
Dad had his visit to the specialist dentist on Saturday and they can't fix his tooth until Thursday so we visited the supermarket after the appointment and bought tons of soft food for him to eat. It's been interesting to try to make up new meals he can eat.
