I had a longer journal entry here but lj ate it, so here goes the short version.
Been digging like mad to finish our fait before the dig ends tomorrow. They're so desperate to finish it, they put four of us digging it in a space where only two are really comfortable. Not so bad since it gives us chances for breaks, but then there's the chance someone else might find something cool. Today, we dug under an open metal tent with a tarp covering - during a thunderstorm. In our fait, there were only interesting rivers and pools forming in places where it leaked but apparently the other tent got struck by lightning so we stopped early.
I leave Bourges on Sat, heading up to Paris with the hopes of visting the catacombs than down to Marseille, so I probably won't be updating for awhile.
Will miss the Bourges cathedral since it's been a haven to me from this mad world and is a lovely place to write my book.
Can't wait to leave and be on my own. Two more nights and one day to go. Woot!
