It seems the cold I had been avoiding has finally caught up with me. A lot of people on the dig were sick the last week, and I did have a minor cough and sore throat, but I didn't feel truly ill until today, when I woke up with a true sore throat, coughing up phglem, and feeling horrible and tired despite having 12 hours of sleep. Have been trying not to let it stop me from enjoying my only full day in Marseille. Sour green apple mentos make great sore throat drops btw...

Went to the museum of the history of Marseille this morning, which was interesting enough. I was envious of some of hte digs that must have been done to get some of hte artefacts there. Roman and greek cemetaries seem to be excellent places to dig. There's another supposedly better archaeology museum here but it's closed on mondays and I leave in the morning tomorrow so it'll have to wait until another year... not to mention I'm nearly too tired at this point to do anything. I'm about to make my way to Notre Dame de Guarde which is the highest church in the city in a Byzantine style. Will then either walk around a little, or go back to the hostel and sleep. Can't manage much more when I'm feeling this poorly. Hopefully I'll feel a bit better tomorrow since I'd like to hit the beaches of Nice without coughing up a lung.

Even more of Uric is written at this point, since there's nothing much to do when you're eating dinner alone but write or read, though I really need to do some research on exorcisms if I'm going to finish the chapter. Anyone happen to know any good links on the topic?

Not sure of any links for you, but I'm sorry to hear you're feeling crappy. :(

Hope you feel better for the beach. ;)

Thanks for making that historical timeline - it's a great help (and how I whish Harry and co. listened more closely to Professor Binns...)

Re: Random note

You're welcome. Hopefully, I'll have it updated sometime soon since there are a few more links now, along with pictures.

This will sound really fangirly (is that a word?) and incredibly sad, but finding out that the next Uric chapter is almost finished is very exciting. No, seriously it is.

Also, I was rereading Goblin Uprising Chapter 6 and I found it interesting that every time 'Uric' was the focus of the passage (ie. When it was Uric's thoughts and not Louis') he is referred to as 'the pudding.' Given Uric's fear of pudding, is this intentional?

It is intentional. Uric views pudding as the worst thing in the world, and what could be worse than a demon that took over your body, so he refers to it as the pudding when he's coherent, which isn't very often considering the job the demon is doing of distracting him.

Now I just need to get more excited and finish the chapter;)
