Ever get that feeling that someone's recced one of your fics? You haven't a clue where or why, but suddenly the reviews start pouring in and you're asking yourself where they came from? Or do reviewers just subconciously review in groups? An interesting question...

It might be just a wave of people catching up on your fic in a pre-Halloween fic rush, but when a lot of people review at once, especially the same story, usually someone has plugged it. You can look at the profiles of all of the new reviewers, see what fannish circles they travel in, which websites, which reviewers, etc, but hopefully the influential recommender will stand up for herself.

Hmm, they rarely do in my experience, but sometimes you know what's happened if you check favourite story lists of popular authors etc. In this case, it's a rather obscure fandom (saiyuki) and I don't see a recommend on the main mailing list or anywhere on ff.net, nor are my saiyuki stories on anyones favourite stories lists in that fandom... so yeah. It's one of those cases that makes you wonder but not for too long:)

I recced your fic to [livejournal.com profile] pixielore for her site she's making.

Although I only posted it in her LJ comment thingy and she hasn't put it in the site yet.

*L* thanks, though the fic I'm wondering about atm is one of my Saiyuki fics. It's nice to know though:)

lol okay. Well if you suddenly get your Uric fics to get reviews, that's way.

Yep, that's happened to me. *gryn* Perhaps you could ask one of the reviewers if they found it recced someplace?

*suddenly realizes that your icon is Sanzo and is properly adoring; somehow it hadn't struck me before*

I suppose I could, but it seems a bit nosy to me, especially since there's no real reason I need to know...

Ah yes, worship the Sanzo;)
