Went to doctor about boil again today (since it subsided then came back again...) and was given more antibiotics (which are this really cool, evil looking black and orange colour) and told to take copious amounts of ibuprofen which means I won't be feeling anything for a couple of weeks...

Am submitting the next chapter of Goblin Uprising atm, so it should be up soon. I'll let you guys know:)

Isn't it wild, some of the colors that medication comes in anymore?

Yeah. You'd think they'd choose nice soothing colours, not evil hallowe'en ones:)

I had hot pink once. :) Suckers were huge to boot. Had to cut them in half to get them down.

*L* No, though that would be pretty cool too:) (When the doctor first told me it was a boil, my first thought was, "Cool. I thought those things went out with the middle ages.", followed by the "yes, but it's on your body, dear." thought... and that was probably more than you ever wanted to know about my thought processes...)

Those sound like good thought processes to me.

My first thought on finding a nasty lump on my back was "yikes, is this the same thing that Alban Berg died from?" (spinal abscess).

What pills are you getting for it? Would be helpful to know, especially if they're available over the counter.

They're all different antibiotics that require prescriptions (the two I've had are called Fluxlozacillin, and Co-Amoxiclav), but I'm also taking ibuprofen (in large doses) for the pain and swelling which I suppose would be your first move.

Ooh, I have ibuprofen gel. Guess I should rub some of that on it.
