Essay is getting to me. Am becoming so familar with Iron Age burials that I can identify them from their pictures... Was staring at one with a large hole in its skull a few minutes ago and realized it was from one of my professor's sites and was one of the potential examples of a ritual burial in Iron Age Britain. I am such a geek...

Went to Judo earlier. Am tired and eating spainish olives to keep awake while I take notes...

No prob. It's actually a way cool scene. I'm sort of bummed that it was cut.

It sounds it. Film editors can be strange people. They cut the oddest things...

Well, I can see *why* it was cut. As it doesn't really further the plot a whole lot. It's mostly a character development thing. I'm bummed more as a fanficcer than as a fan. Because it doesn't really *hurt* the movie to not have it (unlike other films where they've cut stuff that would actually have helped clarify other scenes). But having that information as a ficcer gives you worlds more material to work with when writing.

Another cute tidbit. When Jack is sitting on the ship (as Elizabeth's falling off the cliff) talking to Murdoch and Mullroy (forgive misspellings there please) he says something about "And then they made me their chief." That's actually a different version of the story of him getting off the island. Supposedly he made friends with the cannibals on a neighboring island and they helped him off. Just another cute tidbit that can help a fanficcer out. :)

Hehe:) Good to know, though luckily my stories only (heh...) covering Jack's life from the age of thirteen on to when he sets off after the Aztec treasure, so I don't have to worry about what he was doing for those ten years in between losing the Pearl... yet, that is...;)

Though honestly, character development is just as important as plot and I wish more movie makers would learn this fact. That beind said, POTC was well done so I'm not particuarly annoyed with them. At least they released everything on dvd.
