A Gorgeous Thanksgiving Evening

Thanksgiving was lovely. I went over to ashfae and randomchris's flat where we met up with loads of people and stuffed ourselves with tons of food. The winner in my book was pumpkin pie. God, how I had missed it... The evening itself was lovely with good conversation, fun games and good company. I was sad to see it end. I would like to say that I'll never eat again since I felt stuffed when I went to bed last night, but alas, I awoke at 7am and noticed that I was hungry again. My metabolism is ridiculously fast:P

In other news, I think I have an ear infection or a cold or something. My ears have been twinging at random times when I move my head, and for the past two nights my nose has been stuffing up so I can barely breath as soon as I lie down. I'm hoping the symptoms will escallate so I won't feel bad about bothering the doctor at some point this week.

Despite the filling curry dinner on Tuesday and the gut stuffing of last night, I still weight a pound less than I did on Tuesday! *pats metabolism* Good boy.

The pile of material I need to look at for my dissertation has almost reached knee height which is why I'm staying in today and working on it instead of doing more fun things, though I do plan on taking a break later for pie (I am involved in negotiations for trading a pumpkin pie piece for apple pie with ice cream.) and some gluwein from the German Christmas fair because you can never have too much gluwein:)

I am so Jewish. I went to the festival for my gluwein and didn't intend to buy anything else, and then I saw they had potato pancakes with applesauce and suddenly I was having that for dinner with leftover candied carrots that I'm devouring now.

Flatmates are really good garbage disposals. I leave out a plate full of left over sugar cookies and they keep eating them (and I keep refilling it). Huzzah!
