I'm incredible sore this morning from karate in enough places that it would take too long to catalogue (suffice it to say I'm walking like an Igor), therefore I am currently taking ibuprofen, since I won't be able to function today without it.

Yesterday, I saw The Incredibles with [livejournal.com profile] dizziebeth which was a fun little movie. Other than that, I've just been working on my dissertation all weekend - something that is going to get very familar since that's how I plan to spend the next week as well. I'll try to think of amusing ways to say it over and over again for my own sake.

Whoever thought up the idea of putting artefact analyses and lists on microfiches instead of within the bloody site reports, should be shot. That is all.

I just watched episodes 2 and 3 of the new Battlestar Galactica and damn is this show great! The miniseries was okay, but they really hit their stride with these first three episodes so far. They've got the right mix of everything, and are really treating the idea of the remains of a civilization on the run seriously (it's very realistic, not like other shows *cough*Lost*cough*). Episode 3 was particularly good as a wonderful expansion of Apollo's character (he seemed somewhat lost in earlier episodes, but three is when he really hits his stride), made all the more ironic by the old Apollo playing opposite him. (Okay, yes, also Jamie Bamber is extremely hot in that episode *bg*).

Hopefully, they'll keep their standards up since I haven't seen such a good scifi series since, hmm, Farscape (not that they're anything alike, just that they're both good).

Need a BG icon now.
