The Trip - Day that will Last

Gah. After being woken up several times by an enthusiastic beagle dog I gave in and woke up this morning. My father was supposed to be back hours ago, but as I expected, he's still off talking with his friend. Decided yesterday that I didnt' feel enough like nagging him to not do so. Once he does get here, we're off to Perdue to show the college to my bro, then we start the drive home, though I've convinced my dad not to do it in one sleepless stretch like last year. I find it kinda fun to drive home all in one go, but it seriously messes me up, not to mention I fear for the drivers we meet near the end of the trip since by then we (or at least I) am legally drunk...

I have sadly, finished up to chapter 57 of Eyeshield21 and there is no more as of yet. Le sigh. So have started reading HunterXHunter, which is pretty good, though it hasn't hooked me yet since I'm only on chapter 2. We made my father stop at a bookstore yesterday because the only reading material left to us (despite bringing several books and mangas with us on this trip) was my copy of Pratchett's Strata. Now have the third Sir Apropos of Nothing book, which will hopefully be better than the second one especially since this one seems to be parodying Asian culture. Back of the book has some of hte worst puns I've ever seen...

In a truly brillant move, my brother managed to accidently kick me right on top of the bruise on my right heel. There must be a nerve there or something cause I lost all motor control for a second (always a good way to test whether or not you've learnt to break fall properly...). Very very painful, and it sort of negated any of hte healing I'd done the day before. *sigh* I didn't drive at all today because of this. Also skipped the Purdue tour as well (not that that was much of a loss, but still). We're now somewhere in Ohio, and I'm downloading manga before the world ends. Ja ne!
