OMG! New Sharpe!:D How cool is it that they actually filmed in India too? And Patrick! Yay, Patrick. And it's kinda interesting how they've basically merged Sharpe's Tiger and follow ups with a later campaign to create a new adventure.

I hooked up my ADSL modem and service yesterday. It was surprisingly easy (the modem is shiny). I've been avoiding downloading things on my stolen wireless connection so I immediately tried to download House, and I was shocked at the speeds I got. 100-200 kb/s! I am quite pleased and consider it worth every penny (not that it's all that expensive for a high speed internet connection anyway). And now I'm caught up on the Bleach manga (I want the next chapter /whine).

My afternoon after 4:30 is free, and I'm not sure what to do with myself. I should either save money and stay home and watch House and One Piece, or visit another city and enjoy myself. Can't decide.

This has been a pretty easy day for me. Two classes - one with a very happy nine year old boy (mostly happy because he only had to spend a half hour learning English on a beautiful sunny day *L*), and the other with a housewife who is very new to English but was quite sweet. Since this finished early, I followed one of the many fun maps that was drawn for me today and went to a local mall around here to see if I could get my watch fixed (I woke up this morning and it was deded.). The woman at the local Mr. Max (which equals K-mart here) was very helpful once she repeated what she said and I understood she was telling me to go to another store in the mall. The watch guy, like every watch guy I've ever met, took my watch apart and put in a new battery, but for once didn't warn me that it might damage the watch to remove the seal (this is the 4th time I've had the battery replaced so I think it's a loss now) and he let me watch, which was cool. I then wandered about the place, very entertained by everything. It's really quite fascinating to see what's available where.

This evening I prepped for classes, then watched eps 14 and 15 of House. I'm both amused and worried about House and Wilson's living arrangements. Do you think that's how Wilson get's all his wives? They find him annoying at first, then they see he cooks like a dream and pays for housekeeping? *g* I also havent' learnt my lesson about eating during House. Namely, don't.

I went for a very long walk in Eijo park on Thursday which was both evigorating and exhausting. I keep forgetting that deciding to go around that next bend can extend your walk by at least a half hour. It's kinda fun to walk in the parks here though. If you see someone else, chances are high that they'll give you a small bow, and you bow in return as you go by, and sometimes say, "konnichiwa". It's all very friendly. This time around I had the added amusement of running into the little girl from the baby class here. I've sat in on two of her classes so far, though I don't actually teach her, but as soon as she saw me, it was "sensei" this and that. (Mostly she told me different fruits and colours *L*) She was very insistent that I walk with her and take her hand and that she show me the sakura. I did escape eventually, but I couldn't begrudge my time spent in the face of such cuteness *L*

Japanese lessons begin on Monday for me. It should be interesting, though the first class is just a test to discover your level (there's a $5 registration fee, but other than that the lessons are free).
