So, it's typhoon time here in Yamaguchi-ken. I've got my storm shutters closed (and how weird is it to see all the houses and stuff with storm shutters closed or tape on their windows?) so they're ratttling away like mad. Of course, it's only 7pm and it's supposed to be at it's worst after midnight which will be kinda impressive methinks. I have no idea if I'll get any sleep though considering how loud the rattling is. Also, it's really weird to close the shutters since I only have one other window in the kitchen so now I feel like i'm living in a box and I have to open my front door if I want to see how the storm is going.
I'd be more excited about this whole thing, but I've already lived through one hurricane and been much close to the epicenter besides so yeah.
B., S., and I took advantage of everything being cancelled by the typhoon and headed for an onsen. We didnt' really find one since Ofuku was closed so we ended up in Nagato which is a really beautiful city and fun to wander around. We ended up in a small local bath which is kinda like the local version of an onsen. Still hot, still public, still naked. Just none of the perks. It was still really nice and I think a good introduction for the other two who had never been before. Afterwards, I took S. shopping (she's our new teacher and a vegan so I figured it would be helpful) and I picked up my own shopping for the week since it'd be dangerous to do so tomorrow. Of course, all the bread was gone by the time i got there so I'm living on a french bagette for the week *L*
Meanwhile, I'll be whiling away the hours making icons, watching One Piece (I finally got around to finishing Skypeia, yay!) and reading the rather excellent Bad Boys, Jedi Style which I'll rec on my ficrecs site as soon as I finish it. I suppose I should do some writing too. Ja ne!
