I woke up early to go to the doctor today, not for my cold, though I had her look at that as well, but because my ear's been twinging. Turns out I have a mild case of swimmer's ear and I got a spray for it, and I've been told to go back to the doc if I get any more serious symptoms of my cold, which will hopefully not happen. Feel really tired and lazy now but unfortunately I have a class today. *pout*

I read the first two of J. Michael Strazinzci's Rising Stars graphic novels yesterday and they were excellent. Superhero's done realistically would be the best way to describe them, and JMS hasn't lost his skill at creating good characters and interesting situations. I like how the characters make a lot of mistakes, though i think it could have been plotted out a teensy bit better. The way the superhero's is treated is excellent though. Good art too. I'd recommend it to anyone. [livejournal.com profile] ashfae is probably laughing gleefully now that she's got me hooked too:P

Actually I just said "Whoohoo!" happily. But yes, gleeful. =)

I was fond of the books, but it was that last bit that really addicted me. Completely mind boggling idea somehow.

Which last bit are you referring to? And also, are you getting emails? I've sent you two in the past couple of days and not got any replies.

I just got a flood of them today; sometime it happens. =) I've been trying to work through them all slowly but I'll jump down to yours if it's important.

As for the last bit, the one with the desert.

Yeah, I've heard good things about Rising Stars and have been meaning to read them. Will try to pick those up soon, since it does sound like it's a pretty good series.
