I had my first weird dream in a week last night. See, when I'm ill, I usually dream about really normal things (well, relatively... one dream this week featured me searching for who had stolen my Lush soap...), so the return of odder dreams means I'm getting closer to normal.
I was immortal in the dream (in Highlander terms) and I was searching for these specific shells and minerals throughout this heavy war zone. The war was narrated to me by a historian's voice over (my subconcious comes with voiceovers *L*) which included the sentence, "So many of the battles were fought on bridges that it was necessary for governments to forbid putting up memorials on them in order to keep the bridges clear for traffic." Technology level was about the level of a little before the Napoleonic wars. Guns and cannon were around, but rarely used, and I had more than one arrow shot at me.
Whatever I was hunting for was also being hunted by this crazy Asian woman (I mean, really fanatically crazy) who eventually was killed by me while we fought in the foot deep water under one of the bridges as she tried to prevent me from collecting a paticular shell I was looking for. Unfortunately, we were seen going under by a passing military patrol, and I was seen climbing up onto the main part of the bridge with the shells and my still-dripping-bloody-water sword. The officer in charge questioned me, said officer being played by Ioan Gruffud (*gives subconcious cookie for gratuitous prettiness*), and I was considering different ways of getting out of it (including seduction *L*) when the dream shifted and I drifted back into deep sleep.
A cool weird dream, though it makes me wonder what I have about swordfights in water. I've had three major dreams where I've been swordfighting in shallow water like that.
In other news, I got through seven sources at the library today. Hurrah!
