Friday was rather boring. Went to Dynamic Earth, which was very well done, but would have been more entertaining when I was twelve. It did give me a strong urge to visit the Smithsonian Institute again. Later, had a huge fight with my mum and finally got to take my family out for Indian, which my bro now adores. Escaped home for more One Piece. Yes, the Arabasta arc is finally, irrevocably over.
Yesterday evening, I went to the Graduation Ball. Didn't bother with a date, and therefore got to dance with a whole score of men in kilts. The guy doing the ceilidh had a good sense of humour (witnessed by the Ghostbuster theme winding its way into Turkey in the Straw...) and so we danced the tango, and the girls got to do the cancan (I am surprisingly good at it... but then, I practice high kicking for martial arts every day...), while the guys had to strip. Watching men in kilts strip is very entertaining *eg* Where else can you see a guy teasingly pull up his kilt to reveal his nice legs? Speaking of which, the best flirt of the evening was the hot guy in a kilt who laviciously winked at me. The worst was the very drunk guy at the bar who thought that I'd go home with him. *headde- bar*
Dinner was a formal five course meal (which tasted fantastic) with a string quartet playing. The atmosphere was kinda ruined by the magician and elvis impersonators running around, but they were amusing/scary nonetheless. I made friends with the random people at my table, though I also met tons of people I knew throughout the night, including people I hadn't seen since first year. I was amused to run into this guy whose name I consistently forget, but we've known each other since practically the first day of fresher's week, and since then have randomly run into each other about once every three months. Spent the later part of the evening dancing with him and various other friends in the main dance area. Even got to dance to Cotton Eye Joe (not to mention introduce everyone around me to the line dance *feels so country*) *L* I always maintain it's not a real dance until you've danced to Cotton-eyed Joe, but by my high school's standards, it wasn't a real dance until the guys got up and stripped to It's Raining Men... Have had The Killers - Somebody Told Me permantly stuck in my head since then though...
I made sure to visit the casino at one point and waste all my fake money playing roulette. The cover band, The Likeness, was very good and reminded me of a certain Eurovision entry, big hair and crazy trousers and all, or, you know, The Darkness... It was then back to the ceilidh for a fun last dance, ie, strip the willow, though this was the craziest version of it I've ever danced since there were far too many people on the dance floor. I danced happily until after 1am, but then the headache I'd been ignoring from earlier in the evening came back with a vengence. I'm not sure if it was from my contacts, the corset I was wearing or the drinks, since I only had three glasses of wine, and one of champagne, along with at least four pints of water so there's no way I could have been hungover. Perhaps it was just all the crazy dancing sending my metabolism off the high end. My body has certainly had a workout since I can feel aches everywhere. Someone stepped on me with their high heel while I was dancing, so the top of my foot has this crazy, circle shaped bruise with a corona of darker bruise radiating outwards. It's kinda cool, if painful.
I'm going to try to soak out some of the worst aches now and relax... Half of family is off to Glasgow today, while have sent my bro and father off to Stirling to enjoy the castle. Yes! Free time! I have to say that last night was a lot more fun than my high school prom.

Maybe *eg* I didn't even mention that they were taking off their shirts...
I just finished the first filler ep. Am left wondering why Sanji and Zoro were sleeping on the floor like that in the first place...
