Title: Fake Flowers
Genre: Humor
Summary: There are some missions no ninja ever wishes to admit to having
participated in. This was Kakashi's.
A/N: Yes! I finally wrote Team Yondy fic, and it has everyone in it! *does happy dance*

In other news, I was wondering why my hair looked so nice and shiny and smooth all of a sudden. Then I realized summer was over and my hair has finally settled down into autumn's pantene pro-v commerical smoothness. Au revoir, humidity! You will not be missed!

Oi! I stumbled here quite by accident, while looking at your icons after following your link from [livejournal.com profile] four_by_four, and I must say that bujinkan sounds fascinating. What is it, exactly?

And d'you mind if I friend you? *shifty eyes*

Bujikan Dojo is one of the few places in the world where you can still learn and train in taijutsu (not that they do much actual taijutsu on Naruto but that's a completely different rant...). Each year a different 'school' is taught out of nine, five of which are of samurai origin, and four of which are ninjutsu. We train in both unarmed and armed techniques. I've trained with most types of weapons out there from swords and knives to bos, ropes, shuriken, fans, spades etc. It's martial arts for people who want to know how to protect themselves and others and not for competitions since most of what we learn would seriously injure another person.

I've been training for several years and I hold a ni (2nd) dan, black belt. It's tough training and you tend to get injured at lot (or at least bruised), but I find it fun in a masochistic sort of way;) The wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bujinkan) on Bujinkan is pretty interesting, though I've never noticed the different belts for genders thing. I tend to talk about Bujinkan a lot here since the training is the only thing I'm doing regularly atm (and now you know why I enjoy writing fight scenes *grin*).

Feel free! I'll friend back:)

Oh, wow, sounds awesome. I took a term of jujutsu here at school and enjoyed it more than any sport I've ever done. (And yes, I did even enjoy the collection of bruises and bragging about them to my friends and family.) Bujinkan sounds even cooler, though. By different schools do you mean different styles? (The only 'schools' I'm really familiar with are the ones in Rurouni Kenshin, I'm afraid...)

I envy you for your insight into fight scenes, now. And I think the next fight scene I write, I'll be running by you...

*prods muses into cooperating*

I picked up a yellow belt in Jujutsu once, but quit because I found their rules too rigid (Bujinkan is really relaxed about nearly everything... you can train in your socks with anyone, regardless of rank, leave the mat when you like, etc.)

I do mean different schools, in the Rurouni Kenshin way (all the schools have the word 'ryu' in them...), but in the end it does boil down to doing a different style of fighting each year. This year, it's a lot of bo and sword work. The year before, it was a lot of fighting on your knees (as if we were samurai who couldn't raise our heads higher than our lord's...).

I'd be happy to look over any fight scenes you write:) *prods your muses too* *evil grin*

Now that we're into Naruto, my bro and I have a lot of trouble not cracking up when we get told ninja rules in class;)
