I took a gamble going to Bujinkan tonight, seeing as we're supposed to have quite a few inches of snow by morning. It did start snowing on my way down there, but even though it was about an inch thick on the way back, it didn't really impinge on driving in any way. I've had more trouble driving in the rain.
Bujinkan was nice. I had the same guy as my partner, which means he must have actually enjoyed training with me last week. Go figure *L* First we did onigadaki, which still remains my favourite move ever, partially because it means "ogre crusher" and partially because there's no better way to destroy someone's arm in one go *eg* (That reminds me that I found out there's a point on your chest between your first and second pectoral called "hell's gate". How cool is that?:D) Second we did the reverse of onigadaki which is mushadori ("warrior something"), and then an interesting way of turning both moves back on the person doing them by throwing the person. I've seen Jack do that before but I think this is the first time we've trained to do it ourselves. A pretty easy class for me since I'm good a both those basics so it was mostly spent helping and chatting with my partner.
And for the first time my mum actually asked me if I wanted a christmas tree (since I get stuck with decorating it every bloody year) and I said no, so no annoying work to do. Yay!
