Have been watching the final battle of the the Dark Tournament in Yu Yu Hakusho tonight. Absolutely adored Kurama and Hiei's fights (though I mostly adored Kurama's cause he spent half the fight as a bloodied bishounnen... what me? shallow? never;) I love how nasty Kurama is in youko form, and Hiei's fight was all kinds of awesome. I was laughing madly when he not only destroyed part of the stadium, but part of the island as well. That's talent *L* The ending was great too. There's a distinctive pattern in Kurama and Hiei's fights - Kurama always get's bloodied up (and usually brought near death) and Hiei, nine times out of ten, loses his shirt. I suppose this is to be expected when you're a fire demon, but it's still amusing.

Packing is proceeding apace. I found all my dig pics today (who knew I took the time to put them in photo albums?). I only got to break the habit of having a pic of the sunrise at my last dig, since every dig before that I was already digging by the time the sun rose. The pics are pretty at least. I hadn't realized I had so many pics of the dig in Bourges either. Other than that, I got to yell at my mum's boyfriend today. It was highly therapeutic. *eg*

Bloody Kurama and Hiei without a shirt are good things, in my opinion.

You're an archaeologist? Cool.

Oh, very good, though it's a pity that only Hiei manages to look really good in the anime. I know intellectually that Kurama is supposed to be pretty in his red-haired, human form, but the animators cannot seem to draw him right. He looks quite nice in the manga a lot of the time, but in the anime, it's like the animators couldn't quite manage it. (I am still amused by the fact that their budget obviously ran out at some point in the final Hiei fight at the tournament which meant that at one point while delivering his signature move, Hiei looked ridiculously cartoony (fortunately, that was not the case for the rest of the episode)).

I just finished my degree so the arch is taking a backburner atm in favour of Japan (and earning enough money to go back for my phd...).

Perhaps it's just as well that I'm only reading the manga, then.
