I had a very good day today. Today officially started my second week teaching here, so it was nice to face my official first classes for a second time - being a lot wiser, and speaking a hell of a lot slower *L* The class(es) flew and I think the kids had alot of fun. I think the older kids in that class may have figured out that I understand some Japanese though. Oops. I love the drive to that class too. I could tell the teacher I took over from wasn't too fond of it, but once you're out of the city limits you're driving straight through steep hills and valleys with rice paddies and small farms nestled here and there. Add in rushing rivers and beautiful views and you have a lovely drive there and back. I could see they'll be planting a rice crop soon too.
Afterwards, I was supposed to have the orientation for my new advanced class, but only one out of the four students showed (they went to a party instead *L*) so we just freetalked which was great because this is a para para class, meaning he was pretty much fluent and we covered a huge range of topics from marital arts to pumping gas.
I was lazy for dinner and made myself a medium sized salad of lettuce, tomato and mushroom, and one piece of pizza bread which is just ready made pizza on a piece of Japanese bread. While I was making the salad, I realized I can easily end up eating the healthiest I ever have in my life while I'm here. I just need to resist buying all the snacks I know I love (curse me for being adventurous when it comes to snack food) and keep it up with making my own main meals or sticking to Japanese food when I grab something from the convience store (I don't have a dinner break one evening so it's a necessity.) I could also go vegetarian accidently if I'm not paying attention. Chicken is actually regularly priced here, but when you consider a block of tofu is 50 cents, it seems kinda silly to go for the meat.
Am still working on Uric, but I can't decide which scene to write next. I have a feeling I should just write some Uric "filler" ie, him wandering around being weird, but I'd also like to move the plot forward a bit too. Can do both I suppose, but then I have to save the Seraph and Louis meeting scene for next chapter.
