Hilariously, my mum asked me if I was keeping kosher for Passover a few days ago. (My mum's been on a big kick for getting back to her roots lately.) I told her if she could find me a box of matzo here in Japan, I'd keep kosher;)

My Easter theme was a rowsing sucess yesterday in that I actually got the shy class to talk. Every single person in each class got a chocolate egg, which means I didn't get to try them myself and therefore could only watch their surprised/pleased/weirded out expressions when they discovered the little candy bits inside the chocolate *mwahaha* I don't think they know anything about easter other than there's bunnies and chocolate but that was exactly what I was going for *L*

Wendsdays are my favourite day to teach because I love all my classes, but I have huge gaps between all three of them which means I'm killing hours and I can never decide what to get done, or get anything done for that matter. Like right now, I'm trying to decide if/when I should go exercise in the two hours I have between each and every class.

I've been having weird dreams lately, usually crossing over two different fandoms. Picture Vegeta from DBZ in the Star Wars universe and you've got the idea (cool fight scenes at least *L*). This mornings were about me moving to a different universe to teach... it was some scifi novel universe I now can't remember.

I need to decide what I'm doing for Golden Week. I either want to go to Hiroshima or Fukuoka. I'm leaning towards Fukuoka but then I have to decide if I'm staying there for the night or just doing a day trip. Meh. Too much thought for what should be an impromptu vacation and never will be.

Watched the new Dr. Who last night. I think I'm going to like Ten. The action hero bit seems to be part of his character, and I'd never realized how exhausting Nine's rather manic energy was before. Rose is a lot more tolerable when she spends half the episode not being Rose *eg* Plotwise... er, yeah.

I think the Face of Bo should become a rapper.

Mmmmmmmm okonomiyaki...*drools* (I think I shall have to venture down the many miles to the only places that serves it round these parts v.soon...so yummy. :)

I'm in love with Ten! David Tennant is a sex god. *giggles* Plus Ten's character seems really whimsical and fun, as well as being a fab kickarse Doctor. I can't wait for more!

I have this one student who adores ookonomiyaki so every time I see her she has to talk about it *L*

Tennant is certainly one of the sexier doctors (*hides inexplicable crush on Tom Baker*) and it does look like this series will be a lot of fun. I love that they'll be in Scotland next week, though the historian in me wants them to go further back than the Victorian era *g*

I think I need to make some icons of Ten...

Golden Week travel is, from what I hear, insane. Plus, I suggest you save Hiroshima for when it wouldn't be overly crowded -- it helps to be there when it's semi-deserted. It makes it easier to digest, somehow.

*makes a note to get trip pictures uploaded ASAP*

Oh, and your cards are on their way. ^_^

I was thinking Fukuoka would be a bit easier since I've already been there and know my way around slightly more (not to mention I really don't want to be depressed by Hiroshima during the holiday...). I wasn't actually planning on traveling during the actual Golden Week, rather, I have the saturday before off so I was hoping that traveling then, into a city, would be easier. I figure I'll be back here to enjoy the local festivities as much as I can.

Danke!

Which would help if it weren't about 200-300 dollars for me to visit Tokyo. I'm on the very southern tip of Honshu so all the delights of Tokyo are unavailable to me. Thanks for the links though.

The BBC needs to release a face of Bo toy. *doesn't want stupid cassandra and three versions of the tenth doctor, wants Jack and Bo and Jabe...*

It should be the Face of Bo puppet, so you can make it say your own favourite enigmatic sayings:D

From my Jewish friend here, staying kosher is really really hard in Japan. He has had alot of trouble, but he manages to get by ok. Mostly he cooks on his own, but lately, he has been very happy with new stuff that's turning up lately that are quite kosher for some reason.

Be careful on Golden Week, it's a crazy time. I'm hunkering down right here in Yamanashi. If you want to visit me, you're more than welcome.

I just stayed vegetarian this week basically, though I don't keep kosher normally so it doesn't really matter too much to me (and a good thing to since all the yummy ramen around here is pork based *g*).

Well, it turns out my accomadations in Fukuoka fell through so it looks like I'm staying around here. I'd take you up on your offer, but it's a bit far. Danke though:)
