It occurs to me I haven't updated in awhile, but I've been very busy preparing for going back to uni, the dig and saying goodbyes.
Thursday,
sylk slept over. We watched many things, like Mask of Zorro, Record of Lodoss, and Spiral. We also visited Mitsuwa again and she had the honour of being the first person I've brought there without getting lost (third time this holiday of course...). Ended up buying the Salty Dog I artbook since it's gorgeous and more pocky. Discovered there was also halopeno pepper flavoured pocky, blueberry yogurt and raspberry cake flavour.
On friday,
anelalia slept over (I gave her a journal... you can go say hi to her if you're bored, or if you know her in RL *cough*sylk, rinzei*cough*). I introduced her to X the series and Saiyuki *eg* Yes, I've got her addicted. (We have a Hakkai fan now...:)) You know, in the past two weeks, I've seen the first ten episodes at least three times. Not that I'm complaining:) Twas fun to see her again, and torment my little bro.
Read the translation of Saiyuki Gaiden. I can understand why some people prefer it to the series. It's very well done and intriguing to read. Now if only I can find the time to read the rest of Saiyuki before I leave.
Have also been reading the GTO manga. Damn is it good. It's amazingly done and even more entertaining than the anime.
On sat. went with my bro and dad to see Johny English and Tomb Raider 2. Is is just me or was half the plot of Johny English cribbed from Season 5 of Blackadder? Anyway, it was hilarious in places, mostly by placing the protagonist in some of the most excrutiatingly embarrassing situations I've ever seen, other than that yeah... Tomb Raider wasn't worth the price of the ticket (but didn't expect it to be... dad really likes tomb raider you see...). I think I'd have been able to endure it better if it wasn't about archaeology and the little voice in my mind wasn't screaming 'historical inaccuracy' and 'geographical inncacuracy' (er, they do know that the Great Wall of China is in the northmost part of china, right?) Was happy to see my hotel in Santorini again though (you can pick it out at the beginning of the movie).
Hmm, must test out my dvd recordable and figure out how to install photoshop. Ja ne.
