Yesterday, I went to see Twilight Samurai with
lucyjin and
dizziebeth. The movie was excellent with beautiful visuals and tone. Nice historical accuracy and an interesting story that was paced perfectly, even if the main character was a bit of an idiot sometimes. Oh, and very realistic sword fighting which is *ahem* rather unusual for samurai dramas. I'd recommend this for any Kenshin fans too since it's set in the very early parts of the revolution, though since it's out in the country it doesn't touch on them *that* much:)
Afterwards, we ended up back at my flat, watching Big Brother and Sharpe's Company and eating pizza. Then the night sort of degenerated into a big talk fest which went on until *cough* 3:30am when we realized the sun was rising and it might be a good idea for them to get home.
